The Psanctum Open Mic creates a safe environment for self expression, love, growth, and art! Play music? Tell jokes? Poet or wordsmith? Dancer? Stage Magician? Storyteller? Just want to rant into a mic for 7 minutes? ALL styles of artistic expression are welcomed and encouraged!

About the Mic
Since Spring 2018, the Psanctum Open Mic has offered a weekly safe and inclusive space for personal expression of all kinds. Honoring the values of community, authenticity, self-awareness, self-acceptance, love and magic, the Mic creates a ceremony, or, as sometimes called, a “sharemony”.
The Psanctum Open Mic believes that everyone deserves at least seven minutes a week to be seen, heard, and experienced in an uninterrupted space held by an engaged audience.
The Psanctum Open Mic endeavors to hold that space.
Your Hosts
Eden is a lover and champion of the arts, a writer, space creator, and community builder. Eden considers it a great honor to hold space for the beautifully artistic community of Portland.
Tom has been involved with open mics as either a supporter or as a host for a decade. He believes in community building, having done so in not just open mic spaces, but other spaces like roller derby and the psychedelic Renaissance. When not hosting the Mic, he is a musician, author, psychedelic historian, and public speaker.
