Friend Says LSD Victim Felt He was Devil Stealing Souls

During the late 1960s, LSD scare stories became popular in newspapers across the United States. Due to the sensationalism practices of US media, it becomes difficult to tell how much of these stories have any truth in them. Obviously, it’s possible that LSD had an adverse effect on this young man, John Andre Parr, although there might also have been mental health issues that were not reported. According to Parr’s brother Fred, John had to spend a few days in the hospital after his LSD ordeal.

Sadly, in an attempt to stop “stealing souls” from people he encountered, Parr ended up taking his own life.
