While it is well known in psychedelic circles that medicines like LSD were used to help alcoholics kick the bottle, I am only aware of this one study that measured success with abstaination through the experiences of the spouses of heavy drinkers.
In Sarrett’s study, we see both the positive and negative effects LSD can have on troubled married couples.
